Number of employees

Number of employees refer to employees in the salary population (for a description of the salary population, see the documentation for each survey). From 2014, the age demarcation in the salary population has been increased from 18–64 years to 18–66 years. For the years 1995–1999 employees on leave of absence are included among the statistical information for the governmental sector. Priests are included in the statistical information for The Church of Sweden. The Church of Sweden has been included in the private sector since 2000.

Number of full-time

Number of full-time equivalents in the salary population is calculated as the total of the extent of employment for employees in the salary population. For example, if two employments are added to one another and one is 60% and the other is 40% then the total extent of employment is equal to one full-time employee. For the years 1995–1999 employees on leave of absence are included among the statistical information for the governmental sector. Priests are included in the statistical information for The Church of Sweden. The Church of Sweden has been included in the private sector since 2000.
