Values based on five or fewer persons or households are shown as .. (two dots). The model to estimate register-based household statistics changed in 2016. The statistics for the years 2011–2015 were also revised. A household consists of the persons who are registred at the same dwelling. For people with no link to their dwelling (No information), household cannot be created.

Multi-dwelling buildings means buildings with three or more apartments including balcony access housing. The apartments´ type of tenure is based on the ownership and not how the residents possesses the apartments. One- or two-dwelling buildings with rented dwellings means apartments owned by other than private persons, estates of deceased persons or housing cooperatives. Multi-dwelling and other buildings with rented dwelling means dwellings that are not condominiums and owned by other than housing cooperatives. One- or two-dwelling buildings with tenant-owned dwellings means apartments owned by housing cooperatives. Multi-dwelling and other buildings with tenant-owned dwelling means apartments owned by housing cooperatives.
