Methodological changes 2024-08-20: New decision-making rules have been introduced for the classification of head offices with extensive operations abroad or other Swedish corporate entities. The implementation will take place gradually, starting from the reference year 2022. As a result of the new decision-making rules, some large head offices have been reclassified as independent units and instead of support activities are regarded as primary activities. These kind-of-activity units are now included in the population with industry 70.1 head office activities. The change affects all aggregates in the statistics, which include industry 70.1. Revisions 2022-10-06: The fixed price-adjusted index series for retail trade (NACE 47) and hotels and restaurants (NACE 55-56) have been revised for the periods January to July 2022, this after taking new information about prices into account. 2023-03-09: At publication, the time periods January 2022 to December 2022 were revised for all industries in E-S (SNI 36-96). 2023-04-06: In connection with the publication of reference month February 2023, statistics for publishing activities (58), Computer programming, consultancy and related activities (62), scientific research and development (72) were revised for reference month January 2018 to December 2022. The revisions are due to new information reaching SCB. In connection with this, minor revisions of the statistics from the same period were also carried out for other industries in E-S (SNI 36-96). The revisions also apply to all aggregates that include these activities. 2023-06-09: As of reference year 2023, there have been changes to the statistical unit business unit. The changes are introduced with the ambition of improving the functional statistics that describe individual activities in the economy, for example the production of service industries. Results reflecting the changes have been calculated back to the reference month April 2022. In the Statistics Database, values for the periods April 2022 to March 2023 have been revised. 2024-01-10: When publishing the reference month November 2023, index series in constant prices for retail trade (SNI 47), as well as all aggregates that include the industry, are corrected back to January 2022. This since a problem with the constant price calculations was detected. 2024-02-09: When publishing the reference month December 2023, index series for retail trade (SNI 47), as well as all aggregates that include the industry, are corrected back to April 2023. This after it was discovered that double counting of objects occurred in these periods. 2024-03-08: When the reference month January 2024 is published, the base year is changed to 2021. This means that the average of the monthly indices in 2021 is 100 (index 2021=100). 2024-11-08: When publishing the reference month September 2024, changes are implemented that aim to increase the quality of the statistics. The changes involve revisions, in most cases small, from April 2018 to August 2024 in several industries and aggregates. Part of this improvement is due to the enhancement of methods for constant price calculations from January 2022 and onwards, which affect the industries of Education (P), Human health and social work activities (Q), Arts, entertainment and recreation (R) and Other service activities (S) and all aggregates that include these activities. 2025-02-10: In connection with the publication of the reference month December 2024, the statistics have been corrected for the periods April 2024 to November 2024. This after an error was discovered in the calculation of final statistics for the second and third quarter of 2024 (final statistics for a given month are published one to three months after the first publication for the month depending on the placement within the quarter). The error stems from the model calculation of the turnover of so-called annual filers, i.e. companies that, due to their turnover size, only need to declare VAT annually. The correction affects all industries. 2025-02-10: In connection with the publication of the reference month December 2024, the statistics for sales and repair establishments for motor vehicles and motorcycles (NACE 45) and professional, scientific and technical companies (NACE 69-75), as well as all aggregates where these industries are included, will be revised back to April 2023. This is because new data has been received by Statistics Sweden.
