The target population is divided into the employed population and the salaried population. The employed population includes all employees except those on leave of absence who do not receive pay during the measurement month and employees abroad. The salaried population includes all, but not those are excluded in the employed population, who are salaried for a service of at least 40 percent and aged between 18 and 68 years. Between January 2015 and December 2022 the age limits were between 18 and 66 years. Before January 2015 the age limits were between 18 and 64 years. District Veterinarians at the Swedish Board of Agriculture and the medical officer at The Swedish Social Insurance Agency are excluded from the salaried as well. The information on the numbers of the survey is from the employed population, while the information on salaries is from the salaried population. The information on salaries for the most recent month is preliminary, the salary information for the same month one year before (and months prior to that) is definitive, while the salary information for the months in between is preliminary, plus corrections for retroactive pay.
