The statistics for the last calendar year are preliminary and will be revised until the statistics for the whole year are published.
The statistics for previous years are final and will not be revised. For 2008 is only statistics for the whole year available. Information on asylum-seekers per month, quarter and half year is missing. An unaccompanied minor is a person under the age of 18 who has come to Sweden without his or her parents or other legal custodial parent. Asylum seekers comprise individuals who have sought asylum in Sweden during the reference period and have been registered in the database on foreigners with the Swedish Migration Board. Those individuals who have had temporary residence permits at some time during the last four years, individuals applying for extensions of their asylum case and individuals who are seeking asylum at Swedish embassies in another country are not included in the statistics on asylum seekers. The table presents countries with at least 20 children, the children from the other countries appear in the group Other citizenship.

For the year 2008 there are no gender or age-divided statistics for unaccompanied refugee minors, only a total figure.
