A statistical method is used to protect the data of individuals in the statistics presented. For this reason, the presented totals do not always equal the sum of their reported components. See also section 2.2.6 Model assumptions in the quality declaration documentation on Statistics Sweden’s website. As of 2023, the retirement age was raised from 65 to 66 years. For this reason, statistics are reported for age groups 16-64 and 20-64 as well as for age groups 16-65 and 20-65. DeSO/RegSO are regional classifications that follows the municipal boundaries and divides Sweden into 5 984 and 3 363 areas respectively. Some persons are not linked at the level below the municipal level. These persons have been assigned to a DeSO/RegSO within their municipality.
