Obs:

The waste categories (EWC-stat) were partially changed to the reporting year 2010. Some waste categories were removed and waste was reclassified under other waste categories.
The Nomenclature of Economic Activities (NACE) was changed to the reporting year 2010.
The waste definition regarding by-products was changed between the reporting years 2006 and 2008. Some types of waste that were classified as waste in 2006 were reclassified as by-products and no longer included in the waste statistics for the reporting year 2008.
The meaning of (..) is that data cannot occur or is removed for reasons of confidentiality. Examples for data that will not occur could be that certain types of waste is never treated through composting or digestion or that certain types of waste is always classified as hazardous and hence cannot occur as non-hazardous waste. The figure zero (0) means that the value has been rounded down to zero, or is zero. Methodologies to produce the statistics differ between economical activities. In the cases data is reused from previous year the values may be the same over the years. Data regarding 2004–2008 comes from Eurostat.
