Refers to registration in higher education programmes. This does not necessarily mean that the person has also started to study.
The statistics in this survey are presented net. This means that each individual is only reported in one field of education. If an individual has studied several different fields of education, prioritisation is made.
Field of orientation, higher education (type of programme) Professional qualification programmes are programmes geared to a specific occupation. General programmes are, in this case, a consolidation of general programmes towards higher education qualifications, bachelor’s degrees or master’s degrees, as well as fine arts programmes.
Field of orientation, higher education (programme) If a person has studied several fields at an institute of higher education, professional qualification programmes are chosen in the first instance, followed by general programmes and then freestanding courses. Information from the latest academic year is chosen in the second instance. If a person has been registered in several programmes of the same programme type in the latest academic year, selection is made according to scope of studies, and random selection is used in the final instance.
To prevent disclosure of information, random rounding off was applied in the tables. Cell values 1 and 2 have been rounded off to either 0 or 3 with predetermined probabilities. This is why the study domains sometimes do not add up to the total.
