The Staff Training Survey is performed as a supplementary survey to the Swedish Labour Force Survey (AKU), which is performed each month. Supplementary questions about staff training are included twice each year, in June and in December. The survey in June concerns the first half year and the December measurement the second half year.

The biggest difference between SNI2002 and SNI1992 is due to the fact that the pre-school now belongs to the education system and before belonged to the branch health and social work.
