Correction 2026-08-28: A correction has been made to labour input for the year and quarters of 2024. The revision is needed to correct a time series break 2023/2024 that arose in the May publication of the annual accounts for the reference year 2024. The break was caused by a change in the definition of self-employed used by the statistical product Population by Labour market status (BAS). The error is limited to the business sector and NPISH but has an effect even on the total number of persons employed and the total number of hours worked. The error mainly affects industries with a high share of self-employed. As a result of the correction, labour costs for the business sector were slightly revised for the year and quarters of 2024.
