Obs:

The table contains data on agricultural land and forest land by country, county and municipality according to current regional divisions. Figures according to older regional divisions have been restated in order to facilitate comparisons over time. Still, caution should be taken when making comparisons between years as definitions of land use categories may have changed over time and different sources and methods have been used at different times. For 2005 and earlier years total land area with reference year 2010 is used. Sources for forest land at national and regional levels, 2005 and earlier are the Swedish National forest inventory 1995-2005 and the Agricultural censuses 1951, 1981 and 1992. Sources at municipal level, 2005 and earlier are the Real estate tax assessment register 1996-2005 and the Agricultural censuses 1992 and 1981. Sources for arable land and land under permanent pasture, 2005 and earlier are the official statistics from the Swedish Board of Agriculture 1995-2005 and the Agricultural census 1951, 1981 and 1992.
