A statistical method is used to protect the data of individuals in the statistics presented. For this reason, the presented totals do not always equal the sum of their reported components. The method used for disclosure control is called Cell Key Method (CKM). You can read more about the method here: Protection methods for disclosure control and here: Development of disclosure protection. Time in Sweden refers to the total time a person has been registered as a resident in Sweden and is given for people who have immigrated to Sweden. Level of education refers to the highest education achieved at the end of the spring semester for the respective year. Ground for settlement are grounds for a residence permit. The table reports the last registered basis for residence for the person. Note that a person may have a decision basis that is several years old. EU citizens do not need to register their basis for residence at the Swedish Migration Board.
