Obs:

Statistical methods is used to protect the data of individuals in the statistics presented. For this reason, the presented totals do not always equal the sum of their reported components. See also section 2.2.6 Model assumptions in the quality declaration documentation on Statistics Sweden’s website. Individuals with a self-sufficient income below three income base amounts in a year are classified as non-self-sufficient. However, full-time students or conscripts with a self-sufficient income below three income base amounts are not included in the non-self-sufficient category; they are instead included in the student/conscript category. Further information can be found in the Quality Declaration documentation. The nationwide division RegSO (Regional Statistical Areas) applies from 1 June 2020 and follow the county and municipal borders. To avoid identification, some persons are not linked at the level below the municipal level. These persons have been assigned to a RegSO within their municipality. As of the publication of statistics for 2024, previously published statistics have been revised. • The population definition was changed from being based on full year households (households in which all adults are registered for the entire year) to being based on full year individuals (each individual is registered for the entire year). The revision results in the population increasing by 1.1–1.8 percent per year in the age group 20–65. • Labour income from other Nordic countries is included in the self-sufficient income for all years, i.e., 2013–2024. In the initial reporting, these incomes were included only from 2020 onward. Further information can be found in the statistics quality declaration on Statistics Sweden website. From the reference year 2024, there is a new updated version of RegSO (RegSO 2025, previously RegSO 2020). Several revisions have been made in the new version. Some changes are more extensive, making all areas not comparable over time. More information about RegSO and the revisions can be found here (in Swedish): Regionala statistikområden (RegSO).
