Refers to the transition to a post-secondary form of education (institute of higher education, institute of higher vocational education, arts and cultural programmes, special course at a folk high school) within 1, 3 and 5 years.
The statistics in this survey are presented net. This means that if a student has been registered for more than one of the educational forms within the stated time period, the student is still included only once.
Municipality (residency) The municipality in which the person resides is measured at 31 December of the academic year of graduation. For example, the municipality of residence for 2017/18 graduates is measured at 31 December 2017. Students for which no data is available regarding municipality have, in the vast majority of cases, undergone their upper secondary education abroad.
Municipality (upper secondary school) The municipality in which the upper secondary school is located. Students for which no data is available regarding the municipality of the school have undergone their upper secondary education abroad. Students for which no data is available regarding municipality have, in the vast majority of cases, undergone their upper secondary education abroad.
Eligibility from upper secondary school All upper secondary school graduates automatically have basic eligibility for an institute of higher vocational education. All graduates from preparatory programmes for post-secondary education automatically have basic eligibility for an institute of higher education. Graduates from vocational programmes can add subjects to obtain basic eligibility for an institute of higher education.
Grade point average from upper secondary school Students who have studied in the International Baccalaureate programme do not obtain course grades on the same scale as students who have studied in other programmes, and are thus not included in the presentation according to grade points.
To prevent disclosure of information, random rounding off was applied in the tables. Cell values 1 and 2 have been rounded off to either 0 or 3 with predetermined probabilities. This is why the study domains sometimes do not add up to the total.
