Obs:

Graduates from higher education include (1) all persons who have received a diploma in the current academic year and who have completed higher education credits in the same academic year and (2) all persons who have completed credits in the current academic year, but received their diploma the following semester. People who have waited longer than one semester to obtain the diploma after completing their studies have been excluded. It happens that people attain several degrees during an academic year. For these people, a priority approach is applied to ensure they are only reported once per academic year. The education with the highest level according to the Swedish education nomenclature has been chosen. This means that for programmes of equal length, programmes leading to a professional qualification are given higher priority than general programmes. In higher education, comparability of statistics over time is affected by several changes. Higher education institutions and programmes have been discontinued and added over time. In 2007, a new education and degree structure was introduced as part of Sweden’s alignment of higher education to the work in the Bologna process. Higher education was divided into three cycles: first-cycle, second-cycle, and third-cycle education. Only first-cycle and second-cycle education are included in this statistic. Length of education
For part-time programmes, the length of the education has been converted to full-time and refers to the nominal study time.
The comparability between the different forms of education and between different groups within the forms of education is affected to some extent by the fact that not everyone completes their education at the same time during the academic year and that thus, some have more time to establish themselves in the labour market than others. This may affect the results for the first follow-up time “after 1 year”. However, the significance is assumed to decrease the longer after the academic year that the follow-up is done. The most recent available data refers to follow-up year 2019. To prevent the disclosure of information about people in the statistics, all figures have been rounded to the nearest 5. This is why the study domains sometimes do not add up to the total. Only groups with at least 100 graduates are presented With regard to employment status and income, only groups with at least 100 graduates who work and work and study, respectively, are reported.
