Obs:

The region of birth is based on the country of birth listed in the population register and based on the distribution of each year. Duration of residence refers to the total amount of time that a person has been registered in the population in Sweden and is specified for persons who have immigrated to Sweden. Certain foreign citizens who are born in Sweden must apply for a residence permit. They are usually granted a residence permit for the same period as their parents. If the parents do not have a residence permit, the child´s application is examined together with the parent´s application. Note that a level of education comprises both studies concluded with a degree and studies concluded without a degree, excluding postgraduate studies that only include persons with degrees. An education must cover no less than one term of full-time studies to enable level classification. For further information on principles for classifying the level of education, see Svensk utbildningsnomenklatur (SUN) Note that educational data might be incomplete for a small number of persons. It could concern people with degrees from abroad or with private degrees or with internal company-educations or people with old degrees. 2012-09-12, the distribution in the variable field of education SUN 2000 has been corrected for the years 2006-2010. Region of birth: Up to and including 2003, Cyprus and Turkey are reported under Asia. As from 2004, these countries are reported under Europe excluding Sweden.
