Double-year and single-year
Up to and including the year 2020, Statistics Sweden applied so-called double-year reporting in SILC, which means that when reporting, data from two years is combined into one double year. The aim is to obtain a larger basis for reporting and thereby increase the possibilities of reporting the results on different subgroups. As of 2021, the sample design for SILC has changed in a way that means that only single-year reporting is possible. In connection with the new sample design, the sample size was increased, which enables continued reporting by subgroups that could previously only be done based on double years.
