A summation of the statistics reported by municipality or by county would result in sums that are less than the total value for the country. This is because the total value for the country also contains data on persons subject to taxation who do not have a place of domicile in the country.

observations

Taxable earned income, SEK per individual

Taxable income in SEK per wage earner. This measure, which can be described as a form of average income, should be used with some caution. Taxable income for individuals is used as a tax base for local government income tax and national income tax on earned income above a certain income level. Taxable income consists of total income from employment and business reduced by general deductions, basic deductions and tax reductions for general pension fees. In other words, taxable income is lower than income from employment and business, the latter of which is commonly used as a base for measures of average or median income used to describe income levels or income development. Statistics on the measures of average and median income can be found in the Statistical Databases under the subject area Household finances.
Individuals including estates of deceased individuals.
