Methodological changes
Publication 2022-04-28: Due to a change in deflator for NACE 47.61-47.62 (bookshops; specialised stores for newspapers and stationery) volume (fixed price) series have been revised from January 2016 onwards. Calibration of working day and seasonal adjustment models is not yet done, and adjusted series for 47.61-47.62 are not published since sufficient quality cannot be guaranteed.
Revisions
2023-01-27: In connection with the publication of reference month December 2022, statistics on specialised stores for home furniture; specialised stores for office furniture (47.591-47.592) between January 2020 and November 2022, were revised. The revisions are due to new information reaching SCB and also apply to all aggregates that include these activities.
2023-11-29: In connection with the publication of reference month October 2023, statistics on opticians (47.781) from reference month May 2023 to September 2023, were revised. The revisions are due to new information received by Statistics Sweden and also apply to all aggregates that include this activity. 2024-01-10: When computing statistics for reference month November 2023, problems with constant price calculations were detected. The problem is due to incorrect weights for price indices being used in calculating constant prices. Checks carried out show that the problem goes back to January 2022. Consequently index series in constant prices have been corrected for all periods back to January 2022. 2024-01-29: In connection with the publication of the reference month December 2023, the statistics have been corrected for periods April 2023 to November 2023. This after it was detected that double counting of objects occurs in the periods. The correction affects industries Non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating (47.11), Opticians (47.781) and Stalls and market stands; other retail sale not in stores, stalls or markets (47.8; 47.99) and aggregates where the industries are included. 2024-02-29: When the reference month January 2024 is published, the base year is changed to 2021. This means that the average of the monthly indices in 2021 is 100 (index 2021=100).
