Information is missing for 28 nominated candidates in the 1995 election and they are therefore not included in the statistics regarding nominated candidates. They are all representing other parties and they were not elected to the European Parliament. Hence, the statistics regarding elected candidates are not affected by this lack of information.

2009

On December 1 2009 the Lisbon Treaty entered into force. According to the Lisbon Treaty, Sweden will have 20 seats in the European Parliament, i.e. two additional seats. These two seats will be filled by the Pirate Party and the Social Democratic Party. The statistics presented here refers to the 18 seats filled after the election in 2009.
