Domestic extraction
Domestic extraction refers to the domestic extraction of raw materials in the country. It describes the physical flow (mass per unit of time) of materials flowing from the domestic environment in Sweden into the Swedish society. Material flows can be divided into the following main material categories: 1 Biomass (e.g. wood and agricultural products) 2 Metals 3 Non-metallic minerals (e.g. sand and gravel for road construction and building materials) 4 Fossil fuels 5 Other products (net imports of finished products composed of a mix of the above mentioned material categories) 6 Waste that is imported or exported (net imports of waste). Refers to waste according to EW-MFA categories. Waste from wood is included in the Biomass category. The symbol .. (two dots) means that category is not applicable for the flow (domestic extraction, imports or exports) in question in the current cell. Two decimals are shown for all data, even if the data has not been measured at that level of accuracy.
Imports
Imports refer to the physical flow (mass per unit of time) of material from abroad in to the Swedish economy. Imported goods are either raw, semi-manufactured or finished products.
Exports
Exports refer to the physical flow (mass per unit of time) of material from the Swedish economy to other countries. Exported goods are either raw, semi-manufactured or finished products.
