Obs:

From 2023 onwards, a new threshold applies for companies being obliged to report data to Intrastat (intra-EU trade). The threshold is raised for arrivals from SEK 9.0 million to SEK 15.0 million, but remains unchanged for dispatches (SEK 4.5 million). This leads to more companies falling below the arrival threshold and fewer companies being obliged to report information on intra-EU arrivals to Statistics Sweden. A higher proportion of the data therefore needs to be estimated and the uncertainty of the detailed data increases. The import data published for 2023 will be based on less reported information than previous years and the tables showing data adjusted for non-response will rely more on estimates than data from previous years. Data on export, import and net trade are revised continuously every month for the last three months.

Commodity group SITC

891 arms and ammunition

Statistics in commodity group Arms and Ammunition (SITC 891, SPIN 29.6, 29.60 and 29.600) must be interpreted with care. It is not to be used as an estimate on Swedish trade in goods for military and defence use. Included in the commodity group are both arms and ammunition for civilian as military use. Not included in the commodity group are Aircrafts, ships, vehicles, search- and measuring systems etc. for military use. The commodity group therefore consists of only a small amount in what is considered as goods for military and defence use. Complete statistics on goods for military and defence use is provided by Swedish Agency for Non-proliferation and Export controls (ISP).

Tidigare publicerade uppgifter avseende varuexport och varuimport för januari 2010 har korrigerats 2010-10-26.
Values are shown in thousands of Swedish krona (SEK) in current prices if nothing else is stated. Weights are shown in metric tons, for some goods other quantities are shown such as cubic meters or pieces. Secrecy in the database is marked with … For foreign trade with services see Balance of Payments (BoP) in subject area Financial Markets (www.scb.se/FM0001-En). Companies that import and export below a certain threshold within the EU are not obligated to report their trade statistics. These values and values for companies that have not responded are adjusted when adjusted for non-response is stated. Weight is also adjusted in the same way. Data that is not adjusted is based purely on collected values. These values are therefore underestimated. SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) is a UN recommended nomenclature of goods. It is hierarchical from 1-level digit to 5-level digit. SITC is based upon CN8-kodes. Since all CN8-codes do not use quantity other then metric tons (or it is accounted in different sorts, square meter, gram etc) this is not available in SITC. The current SITC (revision 4) is used since January 2007. SITCrev 3 is an older version.
