Revisions

2023-07-07: Statistics for the sector Housing, electricity, gas and heating as well as Total household consumption have been revised from reference month January 2022 and onwards. The revisions are due to new information reaching SCB.
2024-01-10: When computing the retail sales index for reference month November 2023, problems with constant price calculations were detected, which also affect the monthly indicator of household consumption. The problem is due to price indices used in the calculation of constant prices have been given incorrect weights. When calculating constant prices of consumption coming from retail sales (except petrol stations), the same price indices are used. Checks carried out show that the problem goes back to January 2022. Consequently index series in constant prices have been corrected for all periods back to January 2022. 2024-02-09: In connection with the publication of reference month December 2023 a correction has been made from the reference month April 2023 to November 2023. This after it was detected that double counting of objects occurred in these periods when computing the retail sales index, which is used as a source för calculating the household consumption indicator. The correction affects mainly sector Retail trade, mostly food and beverages and thus total household consumption. 2024-03-08: When the reference month January 2024 is published, the base year is changed to 2021. This means that the average of the monthly indices in 2021 is 100 (index 2021=100).
