This table contains statistics on water discharges in industry disaggregated by region and type of recipient. Industry is defined as companies within section B, C and D (Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply) in the NACE framework. Note that water discharge from nuclear power plants is not included in the table. Recipients can be lakes or other fresh water courses, the sea or public wastewater or storm water networks. The statistics refer to water abstraction during the entire year of reference.
