Obs:

Since January 2003 swaps are included in the official central government debt which must be noted when comparisions with previous months are done. The instruments in the central government debt are also now valued at their nominal final value in accordance with the same principles in effect in the EU. As of the January outcome 2012, the Swedish National Debt Office has implemented certain changes for how central government debt is reported. The changes apply to the accounting of collateral, which is paid in connection with changes in the market value of swaps and interest rate futures, and of reverse repos in our own government securities. This means in brief that collateral is added and assets in repos in our own securities are removed. Purpose of these changes is to achieve a more consistent and transparent reporting. At the present time, the changes mean that the reported debt will become somewhat larger, but this effect will fade over time.
