The Christian Democratic Party

For the 1998 elections the KDS will be found under its new name the Christian Democratic Party (Kd).

The Left Party

From the 1991 elections the Left Party Communists will be found under its new name the Left Party (V).

1973

In the election to the municipal council in Färgeland in 1973, one person was elected for both The Centre Party and Glesbygdens väl. The additional seat then available was filled by The Social Democratic Party. Hence, The Social Democratic Party had obtained 12 seats and The Centre Party and Glesbygdens väl shared one seat. In later elections one candidate can only fill one seat in one constituency and for one party. The information presented here refers to the situation if no seat had been share, i.e. if The Centre Party and Glesbygdens väl both had filled the seats they had obtained.

1979

The municipal council election in Hallsberg was appealed against and carried out again. The reelections took place on 1 June 1980. 1985

The municipal council elections in Borgholm and Åre were appealed against and carried out again. The reelections took place on 16 March 1986. 2002

The municipal council election in Orsa was appealed against and carried out again. The reelection took place on 16 March 2003. The results presented here refer to the reelection in Orsa 2003. For the results from the ordinary election, see General Elections 2002, Vol. 3 (published on www.scb.se).

2006

2010

The municipal council election in Örebro was appealed against and carried out again in the northeast constituency. The reelection took place on 15 May 2011. 2014

Update 2019-11-11: The election to the Municipal Council in Båstad was appealed against and a re-election took place on May 10, 2015. The results presented here refer to the ordinary election in 2014.

2002: Knivsta is a new municipality in the elections. Knivsta has broken away from the municipality of Uppsala.1998: Nykvarn is a new municipality in the elections. Nykvarn has broken away from the municipality of Södertälje. 1994: Bollebygd and Lekeberg are new municipalities in the elections. Bollebygd has broken away from the municipality of Borås and Lekeberg has broken away from the municipality of Örebro. 1991: Gnesta and Trosa are new municipalities in the elections. Gnesta and Trosa have broken away from the municipality of Nyköping. 1982: Salem, Österåker, Essunga, Malå and Bjurholm are new municipalities in the elections. Salem has broken away from the municipality of Botkyrka, Österåker has broken away from the municipality of Vaxholm, Essunga has broken away from the municipality of Vara, Malå has broken away from the municipality of Nordsjö and Bjurholm as broken away from the municipality of Vännes. 1979: Vadstena and Dorotea are new municipalities in the elections. Vadstena has broken away from the municipality of Motala and Dorotea has broken away from the municipality of Åsele. 1976: Svedala and Bara municipalities merged to one municipality named Svedala.

1998: Habo and Mullsjö municipalities were moved from Skaraborg county to Jönköping county. The Riksdag decided 2005-11-30 that Heby municipality should be transfered from Västmanlands county to Uppsala county 2007-01-01.

The Liberal Party was renamed in Swedish, and the new name is used from the 2018 general election. The party name remains unchanged in English.
