Methodological changes
In connection with the publishing of April 2015 some methodological changes have introduced, among other a change of index method. The time series have been calculated back to 2000 in order to decrease possible level shifts and breaks in the time series, which have resulted in revisions in some historical series.

Revisions
In connection with the publication of reference month October 2023, statistics on industry for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (NACE 29) from reference month June 2023 to July 2023, were revised. The revisions are due to new information received by Statistics Sweden and also apply to all aggregates that include the industry.
We are currently implementing method changes in the survey Orders in industry. During the implementation, estimates for subsectors may temporarily be too uncertain to publish. We aim to have the method changes in place during the second quarter of 2024. Once everything is in place, we will publish these estimates retroactively. 2024-03-08: When the reference month January 2024 is published, the base year is changed to 2021. This means that the average of the monthly indices in 2021 is 100 (index 2021=100).
