Obs:

As from 2013, the following variables are no longer reported: interest subsidies (SEK millions), interest subsidies in percent of interest rates, and interest subsidies SEK/sqm total area. This is because government interest rate subsidies for new construction and conversion of rental and tenant-owned multi-dwelling buildings have been discontinued completely following a subsidy phase-out that started in 2007. There are no statistics for 2014 because the survey was not carried out that year. Administration costs. The Swedish Association of Public Housing Companies, SABO, supplies Statistics Sweden with data from their survey Economic statistics, once the data has been processed. In 2007, SABO switched from measuring administration costs with a single administration variable, to measuring with two variables - property-related administration and central administration. The total average administration cost in 2007 for municipal housing companies was considerably higher than the previous year (SEK 83/sqm total area compared with SEK 71/sqm total area in 2006), which is likely mainly an effect of data from SABO collected using two variables. In this report, municipal housing companies means joint-stock companies, economic associations or foundations whose activities mainly manages properties with apartments on tenancy rights and previously approved as a municipal housing company.
